Ice rinks can be operated in temperatures up to plus 10°C. Therefore the skating season on our ice rinks begins in November and lasts on average to the end of March! Construction of an ice rink involves: appropriate surface piping system, cooling unit and the side boards surrounding the rink.
Systems are built with segments of pipes arranged on a leveled surface. There is a layer of anti-steam insulation and thermal insulation with Styrofoam plates. These pipes circulate the coolant and turn water into an ice pane. Glycol is the coolant that is chilled with an ice water cooling unit. Glycol is chilled in the evaporator to the temp.-12°C. The pump is distributing the coolant to the piping system, where it is heated to temp. -9°C and then returns to the evaporator to cool back again.
Depending on the surface of the ice rink, we use units with capacity of 130 to 175 kW and larger dependent of the size of the rink. We do as well provide devices appropriate to professional full-sized ice skating rinks. Units depending on the power have respectively two or four cooling circuits with two or four semi-hermetic compressors. Compression power: 25, 50, 75%. Units can be operated in temperatures of up to + 15°C.
They are made of steel profiles, featuring a FULL HD 1200 mm x 2400 mm PE plate (thickness of 8 mm white color, UV stabilizer), and root plate made of full HD 200 mm x 2400 mm PE plate (thickness of 10 mm yellow), and a U-shaped handrail in blue. The side boards have an ice-resurfacer entry gate as well as gates for skaters. The radius of the arc of the board is 5, 0 m. For the mobile courts (seasonal) boards are attached to the ground through freezing. Such a solution does not cause damage to the original surface, where the ice rink is placed.
